You and God

Psalm 100: 4-5, Psalm 51:10-12, 2 Chronicles 7:14-15

Quiet your heart and listen for God to speak. Ask: God, are you there? God, do You love me? God, what do you want me to do? 

The Journey Church

Numbers 6:24-26, Galatians 6:9, Hebrews 10:24-25

Ask God to help us live out our vision statement:  We exist to engage you with the love of Christ so that all families may find hope, healing, and wholeness. Pray blessings for the JC pastoral staff (Nate, Grant, Reagan). Give thanks for the JC community. Intercede for their needs and the needs of their loved ones. Ask God to open your eyes to ministry needs and to how He wants you to serve one another. Consider how you can engage in small group life. Ask for God’s continued provision for a permanent location in which we can serve Him and love others.

Local Community

Micah 6:8

Lift up our ongoing mission opportunities: Agape Food Bank, People in Need Ministries (PIN), Tidewater Friends of Foster Care, and Vigilant Hope. Ask God to open your eyes to opportunities to serve those in need and to reach people with the love of Christ.

Government Leadership–Local, State, and National 

Philippians 2: 1-4, Proverbs 11:14, 1 Timothy 2:1-2. Pray for unity which only the Holy Spirit can bring. Ask God to give leaders wisdom and humility. Pray that peace, justice, and mercy will reign. In particular, pray for the 2024 election cycle.

The World

1 Timothy 2: 3-6a, Matthew 6: 9-10, Zechariah 7:9-10

Agree with God that His will be done immediately and perfectly on earth as it is in heaven. Ask God to strengthen, protect, and provide for missionaries and national pastors. Lift up our persecuted Christian brothers and sisters around the world. Ask God to give us His heart for refugees and those in war-torn regions. Ask God how you can be a peacemaker.
